Bust 32"

2 piece dress. Tie top features a front button closing, waistline gathers and flaps over the side peplum. The back has as center seam and pleats at the underarm. The skirt is fashion with 8 gores. Style 1 has a notch collar, 3/4 length sleeves and top stitching may be used for trimming. Style 2 has a V neckline and short sleeves.

1 piece dress. Shoulder yokes are cut in one with the sleeves, whish may be cap or 3/4 length. in Style 2, yoke and sleeve are made in contrast. The bodice is softly gathered at the front shoulders and waistline, where it joins the 4 gored skirt under a self fabric or purchased belt.

Simplicity 1720

Bust 25"

Simple to make: One-Piece Dress in Half Sizes: The bodice yoke releases gathers at the front and back. An inset belt joins the skirt and bodice. The fronts button coatwise and two square pockets are joined in the skirt seams. Style I is made with a notched collar and bishop sleeves. Tabs button to the pockets. In Style II the cap sleeves have a lowered armhole and the neck-line is V-shaped. A purchased belt cinches the waist.

Simplicity 1738

Bust 30"

Simple to Make - Misses' and Women's One-Piece Dress. The bodice is darted at the front underarm, front and back waistline and joins the gathered skirt at the natural waistline. The keyhole neckline is fastened with a bow. The cuffs are formed from a turn-back facing. In Style I a detachable peplum circles the waist and the front ends are turned back. The facings at the peplum and cuffs are made in contrast.
